Exam details:

Before taking the exam, the attendee must complete the PMP Certification training to become Project Management Professional. The course provides access to the study material and resources for the exam, but mere attending the course doesn’t guarantee passing the exam.

Exam Name - PMP Certification Exam

Format - Multiple Choice

Scheme - Single browser – Web based, closed book minus external assistance, timed

Access - Attendees can access the exam upon completing the PMP Course within the PMI community

Exam Duration - Attendees will have 240 minutes i,e. four hours to complete the exam (180 Questions)

Language - English

Retake Policy - The Attendee can make three attempts (retakes) within one year of the application approval. For the fourth attempt, you need to wait for a year after you took the last attempt.

An experienced project manager:

  • Performs their duties under general supervision and are responsible for all aspects of the project for the life of the project.
  • Leads and directs cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge and experience to appropriately apply a methodology to projects that have reasonably well-defined project requirements and deliverables.

There are no prerequisites to attend this course, but PMI has specified the following educational qualification for a candidate to be eligible to take the PMP certification exam:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree, or the global equivalent)
  • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects.
  • 35 hours of project management education
or
  • Four-year degree
  • 4,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education

You’ll earn 35 PDUs accredited by PMI.

You will need to renew your PMP certification after three years, after which you need to complete the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) that can be achieved by earning 60 PDUs for its renewal.

To enroll for the PMP course, you have to register at the Xebia Academy Global website. After registering for the PMP training, you will receive a confirmation email with practical information.
